CAMPUS FACILITIES
The ambience at APGSU is very cosmopolitan, with students from various parts of the country and abroad converging here for alm us education. Mingling of diverse cultures, sharing of different thoughts makes SU campus a mini world. While the ambience is inspiring, the vastness and spaciousness is simply alluring. APGSU campus is meticulously planned and is setup in 26 acres of land with state-ofthe art buildings and infrastructure. With over 2,00,000 sq. ft. of constructed area, the campus has separate functional zones like, main college buildings, administration block, residential and sports complexes. The campus is well-planned’, having facilities like spacious lecture halls, tutorials rooms, drawing halls, laboratories, computer center, library, canteen, hostel and sports complex. The ecofriendly campus is aesthetically designed in serene surroundings with lush green lawns and landscaping to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning. The lecture halls, tutorial rooms, drawing halls, laboratories, computer center and language lab are well laid out with state of the art audio visual support. The edge to edge wi-fi around the campus makes it easy for students to keep themselves connected to the intra – college network at all times.
SPORTS FACILITIES
Today, sports are being looked upon as an alternate career option. APGSU lays great emphasis on physical fitness and mental agility. Sports and games activities form an integral part of curriculum. Yoga and meditation classes are conducted to inculcate holistic health. While Yoga keeps the body fit and active, meditation provides mental agility that is essential while pursuing strenuous professional courses. Facilities and infrastructure are
in place for students to pursue sports activities of their choice. Trained professionals offer coaching in various sports disciplines. Students of APGSU have won laurels and have entered the institution’s hall of fame with their achievements. Games like volleyball, cricket, football, basketball, hockey, table-tennis and badminton are regularly played in the campus. Exceptionally talented students are encouraged to take special coaching and shine.
TRANSPORTATION FACILITIES
Commuting by state run buses have erratic schedules and are inconvenient for the students to use. Many extraneous factors may also cause disruption of services or upset the schedule. With a large fleet of comfortable buses, manned by trained drivers, APGSU has made elaborate arrangements to ensure that students commute to the college punctually, smoothly and comfortably from any part.
SECURITY FACILITIES
To prevent outsiders from entering the premises and disturbing the students and to ensure the safety of the students, a professionally trained security agency with impeccable credentials has been hired to provide security. Even parents are allowed to meet the authorities only after seeking appointment in advance.
ATM COUNTER & DEPARTMENTAL STORE
There is an ATM counter, departmental store and photo copying facility within the campus to meet the student’s needs.
STUDENT HOUSING
Future relations are strengthened by the bonding developed today.
Hostel facilities are exemplary at APGSU. Students coming from different parts of the country and abroad feel at home in the hostel. The hostel complex has an ultra-modern layout, with separate residential facilities for boys and girls. Amenities like common kitchenette, laundry room, ante room with LCD TV, hot water facilities, cosy beds, study tables, recreational facilities like indoor games, newspapers and magazines are all in place. Wardens are the local guardians who act as guides, and give moral and psychological support to the residents. Safety and security of the students in the premises is given utmost importance, therefore a professional security agency has been entrusted with the task of providing round the clock security to the residents.
